Creative Strategist — Silence Please Studios APPLY NOW

Silence Please Studios

Part-time · 20 hours per week, with the potential to become full-time in the future

Silence Please Studios is a new creative studio for events and experiences shaped by sound. Growing out of Silence Please’s work in speakers, design, and listening culture, we bring together music curation, spatial concepts, and cultural programming for brands, artists, and institutions.

We’re looking for a Creative Strategist to help define the studio’s point of view and lead the strategy, concepts, and pitches behind its projects.

You’ll turn a client’s ambition into a clear idea for an experience: why it should exist, who it is for, what happens in the room, and how sound and music give it character. You’ll develop that idea into a persuasive proposal, present it to clients, and work with creative and production collaborators to carry it into the finished event.

What you’ll do

  • Lead client briefings and identify the audience, objective, budget, constraints, and creative opportunity.
  • Research the brand and relevant music, art, design, and cultural references, turning that research into a focused strategic point of view.
  • Develop original concepts for launches, listening experiences, dinners, installations, recurring programs, and other live events.
  • Shape the guest journey, musical direction, spatial atmosphere, programming, and key moments so they support one clear idea.
  • Develop music references and artist or collaborator recommendations with a convincing rationale, working with specialist curators where needed.
  • Explore how suitable projects could extend into a product collaboration, commissioned object, or campaign that shares the event’s central idea.
  • Write, assemble, and present pitch decks; lead the creative response to opportunities developed with our Brand Partnerships & PR Manager.
  • Turn approved concepts into useful briefs for designers, musicians, lighting specialists, and producers.
  • Work with production partners to develop ideas within the budget, timeline, and practical conditions of the venue.
  • Stay involved through delivery, reviewing the work against the concept and supporting on-site creative decisions.
  • Help build the studio’s offer, capabilities deck, collaborator network, and case studies.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience developing and pitching creative work for physical events, installations, or brand experiences.
  • A portfolio showing how research informed an idea, how that idea answered a brief, and how it developed through execution.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills, including the ability to create clear, visually compelling decks.
  • Informed judgment across music, design, and contemporary culture.
  • Confidence presenting to clients, explaining creative decisions, and developing work through feedback.
  • An understanding of how budgets, timelines, and production requirements affect an idea.
  • Comfort taking initiative and helping establish the working methods of a new studio.

Experience in music programming, cultural projects, spatial design, fashion, or hospitality is especially relevant.

What success looks like

Distinctive proposals that help win suitable projects, clear briefs that collaborators can use, and delivered experiences that fulfil the creative intention and client objective.
